Walter Helhowski's Charter
We had Walter Helhowski's charter out on Saturday and bagged five keeper fluke, including a couple of 6-pounders with some bluefish mixed in off Island Beach State Park. Fluking was pretty good, and the bottom was covered with fish in the area, We could target them just about anywhere we started a drift. Barnegat Bay was also full of fluke, mostly small. Fishing for bonito and Spanish mackerel is going heavy at Barnegat Ridge.
